So, for an exponential function, the ratio of consecutive y values must be the same.

Let us consider Table 1:


Let A = 15, B = 31, C = 47, D = 63

BA=3115=2.06

CB=4731=1.51

DC=6347=1.34

Here, the ratios are not same.

Hence, it is not an exponential function.

Let us consider Table 2:


Let A = 15, B = 30, C = 60, D = 120

DC=12060=2

Here, the ratios are same.
