1. Pulverisation refers to crushing of the ore into a fine powder. Thus, pulvurised ore is powdered ore.
2. Calcination, refers to heating of the ore in the absence of air (or in a limited supply of air) to a high temperature (below the melting point of the ore). During calcination, organic matter, moisture, volatile impurities like carbon dioxide and sulphurdioxide are expelled from the ore. It makes ore porous.
