Solution

Express the given statement as an algebraic expression and simplify :

Given expressions are:

  1. 4+3x
  2. 5-4x+2x2
  3. 3x2-5x
  4. -x2+2x+5

Firstly, find sum of 4+3x and 5-4x+2x2

4+3x+5-4x+2x2=2x2-x+9 ...(1)

Then, find sum of 3x2-5x and -x2+2x+5

3x2-5x+-x2+2x+5=2x2-3x+5 ...(2)

Finally, Subtract (2) from (1)

2x2-x+9-2x2-3x+5=2x+4

Hence, the result is 2x+4
