vertical motion
Sy=ut+0.5at2
19.6=0+0.5gt2

horizontal motion
Sx=ut
solving above two equations
Sy=0.5g×S2xu2
Sx=Sy
u2=0.5g×19.6=12×9.8×19.6=9.82
u=9.8m/s
