Stem cells are the special type of cells in the body that are developed in different parts of the body and can be later utilized when required. They have the ability of pluripotency (a stem cell can grow into a complete organ). They can be obtained from different tissues of the body and have their own functions, e.g.; they can be isolated from the brain, embryo, bone marrow, teeth, skin, muscles etc and then they are multiplied in the laboratory to make a large number of stem cells. These stem cell can be used to generate a new organ when the older one gets degenerated in the body and are helpful in the treatment of many diseases.
