from where does baby plant get food

Dear student, the baby plant gets it entire nutrition from the stored energy and gets the food from the cotyledons untill it reaches the sunlight and is able to do photosynthesis. The food supply in the seed only lasts upto the 2 weeks. As the seed develops , upward growth is seen in the embryo while the downward growth is seen in the root. Regards
