Solution
The correct option is A Thyrocalcitonin
TSH (Thyroid stimulating hormone) is secreted from anterior lobe of pituitary gland. It stimulates thyroid gland to secrete thyroxine hormone. Thyroxine is synthesised from tyrosine and iodine and converted into tetraiodothyronine or T4. TSH stimulates the uptake and storage of iodine in thyroid gland which is later used for synthesis of thyroxine.
Thyrocalcitonin or simply calcitonin, is secreted from thyroid gland and decreases blood calcium level. Its effect is antagonistic to parathormone.
