Solution

The correct option is A Crocus sativus
Crocus sativus belongs to Irideae family. It is a perennial herb. They bear large pale-violet, six lobed, funnel- shaped flower. The yellow style is tipped with three orange stigmas that extend beyond the perianth. The colour of the style, the three stigmas (not six), and the shape of the leaves distinguish Saffron from the poisonous Meadow Saffron, Colchicum autumnale. Funnel-shaped style and dried stigma of Crocus sativus are used as saffron.
