Solution

The correct option is C gastrointestinal tract
GALT stands for gut-associated lymphoid tissue and is a part of the mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue or MALT (diffused system of small amounts of secondary lymphoid tissue found in the mucosal lining of the gastrointestinal tract, respiratory tract and urogenital tract).

GALT is exclusively found in the intestines and is the site for the interaction of mature lymphocytes with trapped antigens present in the gut. It is rich in lymphocytes such as T cells and B cells that act against antigens.

Thus, GALT includes the lymphoid tissue in the mucosal membrane of the gastrointestinal tract.

Bronchus-associated lymphoid tissue (BALT) is found in the bronchus and lungs.

Nasal-associated lymphoid tissue (NALT) is found in the nasal mucosa.
