Solution

Compute the required values:

(a) Given that Gangu made a tray of 80 laddoos and has a small box in which he packs 4 laddoos.

Number of laddoos that can be packed in 23 small boxes =23×4=92

But Gangu made only 80 laddoos.

Therefore, the sweets in the tray are not enough to pack 23 small boxes.

(b) Number of sweets needed 92-80=12

(c) Number of laddoos that can be packed in bigger box =12

Therefore, number of boxes needed to pack 60 laddoos =6012=5

Therefore 5 bigger boxes needed to pack 60 laddoos.

Hence,

(a) The sweets in the tray are not enough to pack 23 small boxes.

(b) 12 more sweets needed to be packed in 23 small boxes.

(c) 5 bigger boxes needed to pack 60 laddoos.
