Gardeners propagate dahlia and Bryophyllum plants with the help of
Root buds and leaf buds
Dahlia possess tuberous roots and new plants arise from buds present on the roots here. Whereas in Bryophyllum, along the margin of Bryophyllum leaves, leaf buds are present which produce new plants when they come in contact with soil. Therefore gardeners propagate dahlia from the root buds and Bryophyllum from the leaf buds.
