Solution

Dear Student,

Gaseous exchange in lungs takes place between the alveoli and a network of tiny blood vessels called capillaries, which are located in the walls of alveoli. The alveoli are the site of the gaseous exchange in the lungs here the oxygen diffuses across the lining of the alveoli and blood capillaries into red blood cells whereas carbon dioxide diffuses blood into the alveoli.
