Question

Gases have high kinetic energy because the particles have large intermolecular spaces hence the particles move in different directions with a higher speed.
Is this statement true?

Solution

Dear Student, Measure of kinetic energy depends upon the temperature and the phase. As increase in temperature increases the speed with which particles move and hence increases their average kinetic energy. Intermolecular force between particles is very low so molecules move randomly in different directions. Regards
