Solution

Greenhouse effect:-

  1. The process in which Earth's surface is heated up to the troposphere is known as the Greenhouse Effect.
  2. The higher concentration of gases like Carbon dioxide(CO2), water vapor(H2O), methane(CH4), etc are responsible for this heating up.
  3. As the sun heats up Earth's surface with its sunlight, subsequently, the energy in the form of infrared radiation is reflected back to space.
  4. These concentrated gases absorb this reflected energy in the greenhouse effect, which ultimately increases the global temperature.
  5. Some of the gases which are responsible for the greenhouse effect are Carbon dioxide, Methane, Nitrous oxide, Chlorofluorocarbons, Ozone (O3), etc.
