Solution

The correct option is A RER
In pancreatic exocrine cells the distribution of secretory proteins (digestive enzymes) has been investigated by Siekevitz and Palade. The proteins are formed on the ribosomes attached to the endoplasmic reticulum (Rough Endoplasmic Reticulum or RER). The nascent proteins are then transferred into the Endoplasmic Reticulum (RER). From here they go to the Golgi complex. There is evidence that ER may bud off vesicles which travel towards the Golgi complex. The vesicles then fuse with the membranes of the Golgi cisternae and release their contents in to the latter. In the Golgi complex the proteins are concentrated and transformed into zymogen granules, consisting of enzyme precursors of pancreatic juice. The zymogen granules released from the Golgi complex migrate to the surface of the cell.
