Gaurav does laundry every 6 day.
So he will be doing laundry on 6, 12, 18, 24, 30, .. days and so on.
Saurabh does laundry every 9 day. So he will be doing laundry on 9, 18, 27, 36, 45,.. days and so on.
The first common day on which they both will again do the laundry will be after 18 days.
Mathematically we say that 18 is the LCM of 6 & 9.
So, it will be 18 days until Gaurav and Saurabh both do the laundry on the same day.
