Gene flow refers to the movement of genes from one population to another by interbreeding between individuals of the two populations. Since these populations have different gene pool, gene flow causes movement of genes from gene pool of one population to that of other.
Male and female chromosomes, and the genes present on them, come together in zygote by the process of fusion of male and female gamete (sperms and egg respectively) during fertilization. But there is no gene transfer between sperm and egg or between male and female organisms.
Genes are continuous stretch of DNA which are linearly arranged on chromosomes and chromosomes are present in nucleus only.
Thus the correct answer is option A.
