A gene is a sequence of nucleotides in DNA or RNA that codes for a molecule that has a function.
​​​​​​A nucleotide is the structural components of DNA and RNA. A nucleotide consists of a base, a molecule of sugar and one of phosphoric acid.

Genes and nucleotides are related not same.
