The correct option is A germination of seed
Gibberellins are growth-promoting hormones in plants. It is used to speed up germination especially in cereals.
During germination, gibberellins are produced in the scutellum (cotyledon in monocots) which diffuses with aleurone cells (lining of monocot endosperm) and stimulates the secretion of 𝞪- amylase. The 𝞪-amylase is an enzyme that hydrolyses starch stored in the seed to glucose which is then used for cellular respiration to obtain energy for the seed embryo.
Abscisic acid promotes dormancy of seed. This dormancy of seed is the condition of those seeds that are incapable of germinating even when the suitable conditions are available for seedling growth.
Ethylene and abscisic acid promote senescence (i.e. the process of ageing in plants) while cytokinins and gibberellins delay senescence. Auxins help in the elongation of root.
