Solution

An Oxidation-reduction (redox) reaction is a type of chemical reactionthat involves a transfer of electrons between two species. An oxidation-reduction reaction is any chemical reaction in which the oxidation number of a molecule, atom, or ion changes by gaining or losing an electron.

Few everyday examples are:

1)Battery cells is an example

2)Addingsalt in making lemon juice / chazz.. etc.

3)rusting of iron

RUSTING OF IRON:- When iron objects are exposed to humid air a red brown flaky substance of iron oxide Fe2O3 is formed along with iron hydroxide (Fe(OH)3)
In total here iron is oxidised and oxygen is also reduced simultaneously.

4)REDUCTIONDUCTION OF JEWELLERY:- Mostly Silver jewellery tarnishes due to reaction of H2S gas of the air and silver is oxidised to silver sulphide.
