give 2 example of flaccid condition in plants

Open in App
Solution

Dear student,

Flaccid condition in a plant is occurred due to osmosis which then leads to plasmolysis when a cell is placeded in a hypertonic solution. This can leads to the condition such as the plant cell losses turgidity, the turgor pressure becomes zero. Also this could leads to the increase in the space between the cell wall and the cell membrane due to the shrinkage of the cytoplasm.

Regards.
