in case of dissociation of 2NO₂ , there may be two types of dissociation as:
NO₂ ->NO + O
And, 2NO₂ ->2NO + O₂
So, the amount of products depend on the concentration term of NO₂ which is raised by a power 2 in dissociation of 2NO₂. So. it is a second order reaction.
