Give a brief account on milk production and impurities in milk.

Milk is obtained from milch animals such as cows and buffaloes. This milk is subjected to pasteurization where milk is heated to a specific temperature for a specified period of time and cooled again to kill the microbes present in it. This is followed by homogenisation and packaging.

The packaged milk is then sold in the market.

Milk is adulterated using water, starch, urea, detergents etc. These are the impurities present in milk.
