Solution:
The west coast is situated at the western shores of the Indian peninsula, facing the Arabian sea.
The coast begins from the Rann of Kutch in Gujarat and runs through Kanyankumari in Tamil Nadu.
The northern part consists of the Konkan coast. It lies in the region of Maharashtra and Goa.
The middle part consists of the Canara coast or Kannad plain. It lies in the region of Kannada.
And the southern part consists of the Malabar coast. It lies in the region of Kerala.
