India has two types of frontiers:
Land frontier
Water frontier
The land frontier of India is 15,200 km long. Whereas, the water frontier of India is 7516.6 km long.
India also has natural frontiers. A natural frontier is defined as the physical features which stand out as natural borders of a country.
In the north, the Himalayan mountain range acts as a natural frontier of India on land.
In the south, the Arabia Sea, the Indian Ocean, and the Bay of Bengal act as the natural frontiers of India on water.
