(i)	It is a method or process of growing more than one crop on piece of and during the year.	(i)	It comprises of the modern methods applied by the farmers.
(ii)	It is the most common way of increasing production on a given piece of land.	(ii)	Farmers of Punjab, Haryana and Western Uttar Pradesh use HYV seeds, tubewells for irrigation, chemical fertilisers and pesticides as well as machinery to increase the production in this method of farming.
(iii)	It is one of the advantageous agricultural practices for the farmers as it gives them extra income without any additional investment or capital.	(iii)	It is also a new mechanised form of farming and gives huge returns to the farmer but the farmer have to bring new input like HYV seeds, tubewells, fertilisers etc for those high returns.
