• Antibiotics (eg: doxycycline)

02. Tetanus

Causative agent:

Clostridium tetani

Symptoms:

• Locked jaw
• Paralysis
• Painful muscle contractions

Prevention and medication:

There is no preventive measure apart from the Tetanus injection.

03. Pneumonia

Causative agent:

Streptococcus pneumoniae

Symptoms:

• Excessive coughing accompanied by acute chest pain
• Coughing produces phlegm
• Fever accompanied by acute shivering and chills

Prevention and medication:

• Vaccine
• Antibiotics like amoxicillin
• Plenty of fluids and rest
