• Position and structure-This gland are lies in a cavity named sella tursica and attached by a stalk to the Hypothalamus. It has two parts into Adenohypophysis and Neurophysics. Adenophysis has two portions pars distal and pars intermedia.
  
• Fuction- pars distal secretes six hormone named Growth hormone(GH),Prolactin,Thyroid stimulatin hormone(TSH),Adrenocorticotrophic hormone(Acth),lutenizing hormone (LH),and Follicle stimulatin hormone(FSH)
  

Pars intermedia secretes one hormone Melanotropic stimulating hormone(MSH)
