  2. We know that a change in velocity with respect to time is called acceleration.

Step 2: Example

  1. A train that starts moving from a station from rest is an example of acceleration in the direction of motion as the velocity increases as time passes.

Hence, this is an example of a motion in which the acceleration is in the direction of motion.
