Give an example of a substance that exists in different states in nature. Name the different states.
There are three states of matter-solid, gas, and liquid. Water can exist in all these states of matter. In a solid-state, it exists as ice. If the temperature increases, it melts and gets converted to liquid form, water. If the temperature increases further, it evaporates and converts to vapour in a gaseous state.
So, ice, water, and vapours are the three states of water.
