Acceleration is uniform.

Solution

Step 1: Uniform acceleration

  1. When an item travels in a straight path with an uniform increase in velocity at equal intervals of time, it is said to be experiencing uniform acceleration.
  2. An object falling freely under the influence of gravitational force is an example of uniform acceleration.

Step 2: Example

  1. If a stone is falling due to the action of gravity, then the acceleration of the stone is equal to the acceleration due to gravity, g=9.8m/s2, which is a constant. Hence, we can say the acceleration of the stone is uniform and constant.
