Solution

Inertia:

  1. The property of a body to continue it state of rest or uniform motion unless acted upon by a net external force or the inability of a body to change its state unless acted upon by a net external force is known as inertia.
  2. The measure of inertia of an object is its mass.

Example for where low inertia preferred:

  1. Carpenter works with wood and nails. To drive nails in wood, less force is required. Thus, low inertia hammer is recommended. Thus carpenter's hammer is an example for low inertia.

Example for where high inertia preferred:

  1. A blacksmith works with iron and steel. To change the shape of iron or steel, high force is required. Thus, high inertia hammer is recommended. Thus blacksmith's hammer is an example for high inertia.
