Solution

Law of Dominance:

  1. It is also known as Mendel's first law of inheritance.
  2. According to this law, hybrid progenies only attain dominant traits of the parents.
  3. Recessive traits are the ones that are suppressed.
  4. Dominant traits are the ones that are expressed.

Example:

  1. Incomplete dominance is a process of gene interaction in which partial expression of both the genes present at the locus results in the formation of an intermediate phenotype.
  2. Incomplete dominance is evident in the genes that control the color of the flowers in snapdragons.
  3. The red and white parent flowers give rise to pink color progeny.
  4. Incomplete dominance is a deviation from Mendel's first law.
