Solution

(i) Mercury is a metal that exists as a liquid at room temperature.

(ii) Graphite is a non-metal that is a conductor of electricity due to its high melting point.

(iii) Carbon monoxide (CO) is a neutral oxide that shows neither acidic nor basic properties.

(iv) The oxides of highly reactive metals by reactivity series cannot be reduced by hydrogen such as potassium oxides K2O. Reactivity series orders the metals by the most reactive placed at the top and least reactive metals at the bottom.

(v) Graphite is a non-metal that has a luster.
