Eastern ghats Western ghats
1.Eastern ghat has discontinuous mountain ranges.
The Western ghats are continuos ranges .
2.They stretch from Odisha to Kerala and form the eastern side of peninsular plateau. It basically stretches from Gujarat to Kerala and lie parallel to western coast.
3.The southern most portion of the Esatern ghats has several low ranges like Sirumalai and Karanthamalai Hills of southern Tamil Nadu.

They have an average height of 900– 1600 metres.

4.Here the amount of precipitation is less They consist of more rain bearing moist winds
5. Highest peak is
Mahendragiri.
Highest peak of western ghats is Anai Mudi and then Doda Betta.​
