Following are the traditional methods for rainwater harvesting –
Kunds: It looks like an upturned cup nestling in a saucer in which water is stored and protected by a lid.
Johad: It is earthen check dams that capture and conserve rainwater.
Saza kuvasz: It is an open well with multiple owners.
Bandha: A stone check dam constructed across a gully or stream, to collect monsoon rain water.
