Characteristics of phylum Nematoda:

  2. All nematode species are endoparasitic.
  3. They are called roundworms because their cross-section is round.
  4. These creatures are bilaterally symmetrical, unsegmented, and triploblastic.
  5. These are pseudocoelomates with the tissue-level organization but no true organs.
  6. They can move their bodies in a variety of ways.
  7. The body wall has longitudinal muscles as well as an elastic cuticle.
  8. Males are taller than females.
  9. Example- Ascaris.
