Artery Vein
Arteries carry blood away from the heart to the tissues of the body. Arteries carry oxygenated blood except for pulmonary artery. Veins carry blood from the tissues of the body back to the heart. Veins carry deoxygenated blood except for pulmonary vein.
Arteries have thick elastic muscular walls. Valves are absent. Veins have thin non-elastic less muscular walls. Valves are present.
These possess a narrow lumen. These possess wide lumen.
