  1. The parenchyma tissue is a live cell with thin cell walls made up of unspecialized cells. Cellulose makes up their cell walls.
  2. They're loosely packed and separated by intercellular gaps.
  3. Isodiametric parenchyma cells are more or less evenly enlarged on all sides. Their shape could be oval, spherical, or polygonal.

Functions of parenchyma:

The main roles of parenchyma are as follows:

  1. It aids the growth of plants.
  2. Food, nutrients, and water are stored in the parenchyma of stems and roots.
  3. Chlorenchyma cells have chlorophyll, which aids in photosynthesis.
