Sodium sulphate using dilute sulphuric acid.

Open in App
Solution

Sodium sulphate using dilute Sulphuric acid:-

  1. When Sodium hydroxide is treated with dilute Sulphuric acid at more than 200°C, it gives Sodium sulphate and water.
  2. Balanced chemical equation- 2NaOH(aq)(Sodiumhydroxide)+H2SO4(aq)(Dil.Sulphuricacid)>200°CNa2SO4(aq)(Sodiumsulphate)+2H2O(l)(Water)

Final answer:- Sodium hydroxide is treated with dilute Sulphuric acid at more than 200°C to give Sodium sulphate2NaOH(aq)(Sodiumhydroxide)+H2SO4(aq)(Dil.Sulphuricacid)>200°CNa2SO4(aq)(Sodiumsulphate)+2H2O(l)(Water).
