Species - A group of living organisms consisting of similar individuals capable of exchanging genes or interbreeding.
Genes -Genes are the basic functional units of inheritance.A gene is a segment of DNA that provide instruction for synthesis of a specific protien or a particular type of RNA.
Family - A taxonomic group of one or more genera,especially sharing a common attribute.
Order - A taxonomic rank used in classifying organisms,generally below the class,and comprised of families sharing a set of similar nature.
Class -A group of entities with common characterestics,attributes and qualities.
Phylum - The primary subdivision of a taxonomic kingdom,grouping together all classes of organisms that have the same body plan.
Division -A taxon at the rank of division.The second highest taxonomic classification for the kingdom's plants and fungi,between kingdom level and class level.
Kingdom-A taxonomic rank that is composed of smaller groups called phyla(or divisions).
