Uniform motion: an object moving along a straight line with a constant speed is said to be in uniform motion. [1 mark]

For example,
  • A train moving straight at a constant speed [0.5 marks]
  • A ball sliding on a frictionless surface without any external force​ [0.5 marks]

Non uniform motion: If the speed of an object moving along a straight line keeps changing, its motion is said to be non-uniform. [1 mark]

For examples,
  • An athlete running in a race​ [0.5 marks]
  • A car coming to a halt​ [0.5 marks]
