Parallel Venation:

Reticulate VenationParallel Venation
1. In reticulate venation, the veins and veinlets extend irregularly to produce the web-like structure. 1. In parallel venation, the veins extend parallel to each other from the leaf base to the leaf apex.
2. Reticulate venation is observed in leaves of the dicotyledonous plants. 2. Parallel venation is observed in leaves of the monocotyledonous plants.
3. Examples: mango, hibiscus, papaya. 3. Examples: banana, bamboo, wheat.
