  1. Elastomers are rubbery materials that are composed of long chainlike molecules, or polymers.
  2. They are being held together by the weak Vander Waal forces.
  3. After being stretched, they have the ability to return to their original shape, even when stretched to great extents.
  4. Basically, these elastomers have weak inter-particle forces, due to which this stretching is possible.
  5. Elastomers have a high failure/yield strain, compared to other materials.
  6. When these elastomers exist above their glass transition temperature, they are amorphous.
  7. Examples include natural rubber, neoprene, silicone, and polybutadiene.

Therefore, the example of the weakest inter-particle forces is neoprene, silicone, polybutadiene, etc.
