The sentences which deals with the mood and how to express it are called optative sentences. They express keen wish, a prayer, curse etc. These sentences generally starts with ‘wish’ and ‘may’. We may also find these sentences beginning with ‘let’ sometimes. They can end with both full stop and an excalamation mark.
