Solution

Uniform speed

  1. If a body's velocity does not change over time, it is said to be in uniform motion. A net external force is always 0 for a body in uniform motion.
  2. A body sliding at a constant velocity on a frictionless surface is an example of uniform motion.
  3. In real life, consider the movement of big vehicles such as trucks on the roadway.

Examples of uniform speed

  1. The Earth revolves around the Sun and completes one rotation every 24 hours.
  2. A train traveling at a constant speed on the tracks
  3. Sewing machine spring vibrating
  4. A ship moving at a constant speed

Non-uniform speed

  1. If a body's speed changes over time, it is said to be in non-uniform motion. Such a body is unavoidably influenced by an outside force.
  2. A body rotating at a consistent speed is an example of non-uniform motion. Because its direction of motion changes every second, its velocity is not constant.
  3. In actual life, consider the motion of a bicycle in a metropolis.

Examples of non-uniform speed

  1. The vehicle passing through a market or a congested area
  2. Planes flying through hazy conditions and then landing
  3. A girl running in the race
