Battle of Khanwa was fought between Mughal Emperor Babur and the Rajput forces led by Rana Sanga of Mewar.
The battle took place near the village of Khanwa, in Bharatpur District of Rajasthan on March 17 1527.
After winning the Panipat battle, Babur turned his attention to Rana Sanga of Mewar, the formidable Rajput king.
The Canons and Guns of Babur wreaked havoc in the opposition camp once again, resulting in the defeat of the Rajputs and Babur became the undisputed ruler of India.
After winning the battle Babur strengthened his position in both Delhi and Agra
Later, Babur conquered the forts of Gwalior,Dholpur and east of Agra.
