Solution: The word Ganrba is derived from the word Garbh deep. An earthen pot is used to place a lamp within the holed earthen pot, which is kept on the head of the dancers. ​
  • The dancers then move in circles during the Garba dance during the Navratri festival in Gujarat. Gujarati people perform the Garba and sing songs to worship the Adhya shakti, Goddess Jagdamba.
  • It is usually performed in open grounds encircling to the Mandvi' kept in the centre along with the strokes of hands and beats of drums. Gujarati poetry known as garba and garbi. These are associated with Krishna bhakti.​
  • Gujarati poet Dayaram wrote poems in Gujarati which inspired women to sing and dance the Garbi dedicated to Lord Krishna.
