Give location and function of seminiferous tubules

Open in App
Solution

Dear student,

There are several small tubular structures present in the testes known as seminiferous tubules. During formation of gamete the meiosis cell division takes place inside these tubules. Thus sperms are produced and get matured here. The lining of these tubules is made up of a special type of tall, columnar cells called Sertoli cells.

Regards.
