Give one difference between the blind spot and yellow spot on the basis of sensory cell.

Blind spot: Blind spot is the region where the optic nerve passes through the optic disk and out of the eyes. Also, it is at this very region that the blood vessels enter the eyes.

Yellow spot: The yellow spot, also known as macula, is the centre of the eye and sharpest sight place.

  1. Since it lacks cells to detect light on the optic disc, the related part of this field of vision is not visible. Consequently, the part of the image falling on the field of vision does not get perceived as it lacks photoreceptors.
1. These spots absorb blue and UV light entering the eye in excess.

3. It is this very region wherein the main blood vessels supplying blood to the retina enter.3. These regions are involved in high resolution vision, possible in a fair amount of light.
